Drunk on Her Own Beauty
The geranium has finally fallen to the depths.
I saw this geranium when she was just a young blossom about two weeks ago, admiring her reflection in the birdbath while all the other geraniums were paying attention to their elders and the garden around them.
As time went on, this lovely geranium, in her vulnerable angle, was beaten down by life’s cares and several heavy rainstorms which soaked her petals, even as they opened to her full splendor.
