Chicory Field

I love the individual flowers, but this field of chicory was very calming in gentle sunlight.

  2. I love seeing these bloom by the roadside. They thrive in lean soil, which means they are not really a garden plant. Hence, I treasure seeing them this time of year.

    • Composer, I was so sad when I was young and I would pick a few of these beautiful blue flowers, but before I got home they had closed up into a ball. They don’t like to be cut, they need to stay where they are in order to appreciate their beauty. There’s a lesson in that!
