November Pool Party

The sparrows are making the most of a warm sunny afternoon in southwest Pennsylvania to enjoy a really good bath. No wonder I have to refill this thing every day!

Waiting for the Thaw

Two doves are a little disappointed to find the bird bath is frozen with overnight temperatures below freezing. I guess they’ll just wait for it to thaw.

Instead, I’ll head out there with a teapot of warm water soon.

Ice in the bird bath.

Ice on the bird bath! Even in the golden morning sun there was frost and ice and one bright yellow leaf managed to be caught overnight. It won’t be long before I’m bringing in the frozen bird bath and replacing it with a warm one from inside.
